By accessing or using FootyStack ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time — continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
FootyStack is a football prediction platform where you can join pools with friends, pick match outcomes, and climb leaderboards. It is a passion project built and maintained by two people in their spare time. We do our best, but we make no guarantees about uptime, accuracy, or availability.
You need an account to use most features. Accounts are managed through our authentication provider, Clerk. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. One account per person — creating multiple accounts to gain an advantage in pools is not allowed. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use the Service.
You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings. When you do, we permanently remove your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

When you use FootyStack, you may submit content such as usernames, pool names, and predictions ("User Content"). You retain ownership of any User Content you create. However, by submitting User Content, you grant FootyStack a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to store, display, and use that content solely as necessary to operate and provide the Service. This includes displaying your username on leaderboards, showing pool names to members, and storing your prediction history.
You are responsible for any User Content you submit. You agree not to submit content that is unlawful, offensive, or infringes the rights of others.
The FootyStack name, logo, and original code are ours. Match data, team logos, and related football content are sourced from third-party providers (primarily SportMonks) and remain the property of their respective owners. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit any content from the Service without permission.
FootyStack is a free prediction game for fun. It is not a gambling platform. No real money is wagered, won, or lost through the Service. If you use FootyStack in connection with any external gambling activity, you do so entirely at your own risk and responsibility.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that match data will be perfectly accurate or timely. We sync data from third-party sources and occasionally things go wrong — if you spot an issue, let us know via the feedback form.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FootyStack and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us (which, since the Service is free, is zero).
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FootyStack and its creators from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party; or (d) any User Content you submit through the Service.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, with or without notice — particularly if you violate these terms. You can stop using the Service and delete your account whenever you like.
We may revise these terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. It is your responsibility to review these terms periodically.
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wisconsin, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wisconsin, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and FootyStack regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.
Force Majeure. We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, internet outages, third-party service failures, or other events outside our control.
No Waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
